Asvathas
Occupying the western deserts and plains, Asvathas is a huge empire growing bigger through conquest. Created and unified by Sabah the Conqueror, it has unified the desert elves into a single polity for the first time in history. It is a militaristic and expansionist empire known around the continent not only for its rapid conquests but for its knightly orders, treasure-filled ruins, and impressive standing army. Taking advantage of the historic trade routes of the desert elves and capitalizing on them, the empire has grown fabulously wealthy as well. Despite its power and size, it remains relatively decentralized, its only ruler, the warrior queen, consigns day-to-day affairs to governors, chieftains, and magistrates.
Religion
Religion varies somewhat in the empire. The settled towns and cities mostly follow the traditional Celestial Order religion in line with most of the continent. When in the desert and tribal areas, however, one comes across many Tathists, the monolatric religion favoring Tathos above all others. There have been tensions between these groups, though nothing serious as of yet. Religion is otherwise quite fluid in the empire.
