Silverscale Mountains

A mountainous region in the northern reaches of Kjarra and Mistvall. While the region is claimed by the polities of the Northmen and Snow Elves, the majority of the local inhabitants are Goliaths, Orcs, and Mountain Dwarves. Though the most prominent settlement is Cirith Lanthir, a Snow Elven town in the territory of eastern Kjarra. The lowlands at the foot of the mountains are often travelled as the main route between Kjarra and Mistvall, passing through Orcish territory amidst the borderlands at the mouth of the large lake known as Winter's Tear. The mountains are said to be rich in silver, prompting many to form alliances with local tribes, clans, and highlanders. It is also historically a pilgrimage site for the Snow Elves, particularly the path to the lair of Zohra, a silver dragon who holds domain over these mountains and has traditionally been an ally of the Crown of Mistvall.
