Cirith Lanthir
Calm Winds, Hot Springs
In the Silverscale Mountains that mark the border between Kjarra and Mistvall, Cirith Lanthir stands as a testament to both cultures. Nestled among the frigid peaks, the small town is Snow Elven in population and character but has found itself in the sphere of Kjarran rule. Known as Alvefossen to the Northmen, it was absorbed into their kingdom during a period of instability in Mistvall, along with several other Snow Elven settlements. A source of immense natural beauty, the mountain town has become a hub of sojourn for many. Its breathtaking vistas, mighty waterfall, and relaxing hot springs have made it an attractive settlement for any polity in these frigid lands to claim. With a native population barely cracking five hundred, it has lodging for over two thousand residents, indicating that its residents have, however begrudgingly, accepted Cirith Lanthir's status as a tourism center. While locals may wrestle with a bit of resentment over the influx of foreigners who have little respect for native customs or nature, the town is also a place of rest for those making the journey between Kjarra and Mistvall, particularly those who wish to avoid the Orcish lands at the foot of the Silverscale Mountains.
