West Shanks

The West Shanks District is the most populated district of Tel Hannon and the unofficial center of the cities cultural life. The West Shanks district forms the nexus of both the port infrastructure , The Northern and Southern Trades districts and the The Belani District. As such it is a filthy maze of alley ways and street crowded with dilapidated market stalls. One could charitably call West Shanks a colourful and lively place. However this is only on account of it being heavily overpopulated. The West Shanks district has also been the center of criminal life in the city since time immemorial. Its proximity to the docks makes it the most valuable district for an illicit organization to control. As a result it has been the sight of many violent clashes and outright massacres over the years. It is currently under the control of the Legarto. Law enforcement has virtually no presence in the West Shanks and as such it can be extremely dangerous for the unwary. The heart of the West Shanks both geographically and spiritually is arguably Four Copper Square. The West Shanks can offer great excitement and spectacle for anyone with coin in their pocket. It can also take said coin and leave you bleeding out in an alley.
