The Moon Tower

The day we were told we were going to abandon not just the Tower but the city, no, the very planet itself...I wept openly. She stood as a beacon for three thousand years and now vagrants sully her hallowed halls. There was and will never be anything such as the Moon Tower ever again.

For three thousand cycles the Moon Tower stood as the crown jewel of the Orionis Cluster government. Constructed out of a pure Dynamesium outer shell in the center of the High Broaldi sector on New Terra, it held not only the chamber of the Core Senate but their offices, as well as offices for every faction of government that controlled not only New Terra but the Alalus System and the Cluster.
Although construction of the Moon Tower began in 154 AFT, it wasn't completed until 175 AFT. This was due to a massive lava surge on C'Phini stalling the production of Dynamesiun, as it had damaged several mining robots that had to then be replaced. When the Tower was finally completed, it became one of the most recognizable landmarks on Daant Arga and everyone in the Cluster - even those who had never in their lives visited the Alalus System - knew that the Tower was the home of the Senate.
When New Terra was abandoned, so was the Tower. While it had been locked up, the security sytems (already strained post-Collapse) failed and allowed those who had stayed on planet inside. Several of the new squabbling factions on the planet fought for control of it but Zuri Calder and her Wolf Sisters won. Although the Tower no longer holds the same image, it is still acknowledged as a place of power on Daant Arga as the Wolf Sisters still hold court there.
While much of its elegant furniture is long gone, there is still some beauty in the Tower and the Wolf Sisters take great pride in showing off their prize. The Tower itself still stands as a symbol of the planet, only a much different version than she did for her first three thousand years.
