Zakiyah Farek

The grand vizier and guildmaster of the Enlightened Few, Zakiyah Farek possesses considerable character and magical might. Known for her pragmatic approach towards problems and cutting wit, Zakiyah is respected and even slightly feared among her peers. She rose into her prestigious position from the streets of Pluthem, spending much of her adolescence as a simple pickpocket, living off of what she could steal.

Early Life

She learned that she could project entirely by accident when, in desperation, she slipped into the Tapestrum Arcanum and momentarily stopped time so she could save her friend who was about to have his hands cut off for stealing. A mage of the guild witnessed her spell and was so impressed by it that he personally vouched for Zakiyah to the then guildmaster, after which she was inducted into the guild and spent the next thirty years of her life perfecting her craft and climbing the ranks of the Enlightened Few.

Owing to her own background, Zakiyah has quite a lot of sympathy for the lower rungs of Pluthemian society, and many a social program aiming for better living conditions and education for these underclasses are her initiatives.
