Order of the White Angels
Divine Origins
The Order of Angels was established in the early years of Whitestones history as its protectors and guardians of the faithful. The towers were constructed for them shortly after their foundation so they could look out over the city and command the angels more effectively in battle.
Priesthood
Those who can animate the statues are chosen by the pontiff himself and undergo a grueling ritual of fire. Those who pass this trial of fire are granted the power over the statues and those who fail are fuel to the fire that is kept by the Fire Keepers of Whitestone. There are always only twelve in service to the city in this way and they stay within their towers that overlook the city in case they are needed.
Granted Divine Powers
The men and women within the Order of White Angels have been given the power to animate several angel statues at once for the defense of the city. These angels wield large stone two handed hammers and attack viciously at their opponent. These angels use the STONE GOLEM stat block in the 5th Edition Monster Manual on page 170.
