Ojong is an extraordinarily wealthy samurai. He controls a network of merchants that extends the breadth of the Unicorn Clan's holdings. Somehow, he has negotiated a personal alliance with the Yasuki family, which extends his reach well beyond the Unicorn Clan's borders.
The influence that comes to someone of his vast wealth got him invited to the Emperor's Winter Court and the news of Naishou Province was too good to be true. A whole province, right on the Unicorn Clan's border, full of natural resources and sure to have need of luxury goods from the rest of the Empire. Ojong immediately made preparations to accompany Miya Ansho's party to Naishou and informed the Unicorn Clan of his intentions to secure the province for the glory of Shinjo.
