Governor Ansho Miya

Miya Ansho is a herald who never much liked to travel. The family, acknowledging his preference for studying and his skill in court, quickly made him a full-time courtier. Over his career, he’s handled many thorny situations for the Miya family and the Empire as a whole. In his 3 decades of service, he has been recognized as an advocate for peace and a deft negotiator, capable of defusing tense situations before they can erupt into open inter-clan warfare. The only topic readily capable of disturbing him is that of his wife Aika, who died of Plains Fever in the spring of 1155. He’s not given to dwell on her untimely passing, but if the subject comes up, he is unable to hide his grief. At these times, the only reliable source of consolation he has is the presence of his daughter, Miya Iaimiko.
