Miya Ansho’s daughter, as head-strong and energetic as he is measured and calm. Upon her gempukku ceremony, she swiftly took to her duties, reveling in the freedom and exploration that her father was so uninterested in. She is skilled with a sword (as a child, she wanted to join the Seppun Guard, but her father forbid it) and comfortable in the wilderness, able to look after herself on the sometimes lonely missions assigned to Miya Heralds.
One place she is not comfortable is in court. Iaimiko is a champion of the commoner and her temper sometimes gets the better of her, especially when baited.
Now 19 years old, her father’s stature and her own accomplishments have recently produced another discomfort for Iaimiko: attempts at courtship and interest from several notable matchmakers.
Serendipitously for her father, Iaimiko was wintering in Otosan Uchi when the Emperor gave Ansho his new assignment and he promptly dragooned his daughter into accompanying him and relocating to Naishou Province.
