Inquisitor Fabius Malinaix
Fabius Malinaix was a notable Inquisitor that lived in the 3rd and 4th centuries Post Founding. His work focused around Elves, their place in the Empire, the history between the Gods of the Elves and those of the Empire, as well as the detection and extermination of Elves and Elven societies that were deemed a threat. At the same time, he was a champion for the removal of the Illegal species label for Elves in the Empire, and through he did not live to see it removed, his work played a major role in the legalization of Elves in the Empire by Ferdinand VIII in 498 P.F.. In the latter half of his life, he would found the Ordo Malinaius with his Aspirants and some colleagues, and be granted the rank of Archinquisitor.
The Ordo Malinaius is an Inquisitorial Order, which focuses on the scolarly study of Elven history, and eradication of Elven herecy within the Empire. They are also the target of recent controversy, as they were the first to grant the rank of Inquisitor to an Empire-born Elf, known as Inquisitor Bane.
Born in 367, during the rule of Dracon I Lionel, to a wealthy noble family, he was quickly drawn to the studies of history, and was a gifted student. His passion for history and religion led him down the path of the Inquisition, and at an early age he was being taught by Inquisitors, and slowly inducted into the ranks of the servants of Vindicta. A highly controversial figure, he is hated by many Elves, for the brutality and heavy-handedness of his executing of Elves, but at the same time praised by others, who say that without his political and scholarly efforts, elves would have never been as accepted in the Empire as they are now. There are also rumors that state that before his death, Fabius was one of very few non-Elves allowed to visit the island of Ulathian, to discuss history, religion, and politics.
A schollar to the very end, he died in the year 456 P.F., at the age of 89, during a lecture in the Inquisitorial Temple of Exelnar about the identifiers and separation of elven traditions, and elven herecy. His body was entombed with the highest honors in the Inquisitorial Cemetary of the Tears of Vengence, in Exelnar, where he was born.
