Noctura (Nock-too-rah)

Noctura are powerful incorporeal demons native to Prana. They are a creation unique to the forces of In Kura, and seem to be made passively by the plane itself rather than the intricate soul-crafting most other demons are formed from. Though In Kura's followers do not follow the rigid social hierarchy that other demons do, most consider Noctura to be demons equaling the power of those of the 1st Seal.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Noctura are incorporeal creatures whose form largely resembles a large bat with a toothy maw almost like a leech. They stand at almost 5 meters tall, though most lurch with a hunched over posture as they walk on the knuckles of their wings. Most have a gaunt, sickly looking figure.

Abilities

Noctura are incorporeal planeswalking creatures capable of traversing the boundaries of the material and ethereal planes with ease. They are also capable of directly feeding on mortals souls without the preparation most other demons require, and appear with a swirling energy inside of their translucent forms.

Civilization and Culture

History

They are the oldest of In Kura's followers, and unlike most other demons who are crafted as part of a rigid caste system that makes up the Demon Hierarchy in whatever army they serve, Noctura seem to be created by Prana itself. It is believed that Noctura are created passively at the will of their demonic god, created from a conglomeration of all of the souls released in Prana. Though the armies of In Kura do not follow a rigid hierarchical structure like the other Prime's armies, Noctura are known as one of the most dangerous demons in existence, just below the likes of demonic nobility.
