EMS

Electromagnetic Shields (EMS) was technology that was developed by UEF scientists for protection from radiation and if given enough power, it could shield the spaceship from projectiles. It was first step towards direction where there was defence layer around the spaceship all times. FRE administration would announce that this technology belonged under their supervision because its operating required OFRE class engines.

Discovery

technology was developed by UEF scientists for radiation shielding and was continued developing after discovery of being viable option for projectile defence. OFRE class engines were developed in order to power the EMS enough to bring out the defence capabilities.
