Eteokles

Grc: Ἐτεοκλῆς - En: Eteocles - "Truly Glorious"

A prince of Thebai and, along with his twin brother, Polyneikes, heir to the throne of Oidipous. Famously does not get along with his brother at all. In fact, the two rivals have formed youth armies that "play" at war on a near daily basis in the labyrinth within the city's Inner Wall.  

Eteokles in The Seventh Seed

Pyrrha encounters Eteokles and his youth army in the Labyrinth Gate. When Pyrrha defeats Eteokles's therapon, Iphikles, she gains the prince's respect. Eteokles grants her free passage and a pair of guides to the other side of the maze.
 

Eteokles in the War of Seven

Eteokles, having seized sole control of the kingdom from the brother he was supposed to share it with, is forced to defend the city from his twin brother and the army of Argos. Eteokles prevails, but dies in the process. The throne reverts again to Kreon until Eteokles's son is old enough to rule.
