Port Lawrence
A port city established by Frederick Lawrence, with assistance from the Joston Federation of Independent States, this began as an outpost to aid sailors in the south arctic resupply, and eventually began to attract explorers and adventurers looking to make a name for themselves by charting The Vast Chill.
This port began to grow, and was officially inducted into the Federation's growing list of allied cities in 2540 PR (16701 DR). There has been a slow climb in population, given the generally undesirable region and climate for ordinary folk, but opportunity certainly a strong motivator. The citizens of Port Lawrence have a sense of purpose and are generally interested in helping however they can, provided there is adequate monetary compensation. Regardless, most have a sense of adventure, and find it extremely rewarding to be expanding the civilized world into one of the last frontiers left on Myrandria.
The lord of this city is Frederick Lawrence, and he rules it as a captain runs his ship - very orderly. Civilians are treated with respect, but discipline is expected of everyone that lives here. In times of disaster, the strong and brave citizens know how to pull together and get through hard times. Every single person here knows what it means to sacrifice for the greater good.
