Bleddyn's Cradle

Just east of the desolate peaks of Dead Mountain lies the dark fortress known as Bleddyn's Cradle.
Location
The fortress is nestled in a cold and lifeless mountain valley where the three branches of the Worldscar Mountains meet. Bleddyn's Cradle stands at an altitude of 16 thousand feet, surrounded by snowy peaks which which rise up another 6 thousand feet above it. Its surroundings are forbidding, providing support for no living creatures and home to none but the restless dead.
Description
Bleddyn's Cradle is old, very old. The bleak and stark stonework bears the scars of primitive and gigantic tools, hinting at its origin. The layout and design of its walls are likewise archaic, but they stand at an imposing height of 50 feet, making it a formidable stronghold to conquer.   The keep of Bleddyn's Cradle is swallowed by the mountainside, and is surrounded by dark temples and libraries of dark, profane knowledge. The site is inhabited almost exclusively by the faithful of Bleddyn, The Soul Flayer. Followers of this god of darkness, decay and undeath find rare kinship here, and the darkest forms of necromancy are practice and taught in the shelter of its walls.   A dark pit stands in the middle of the central courtyard, a 100 feet in diameter and seemingly endless in depth. It is said in the times when the gods roamed the earth, Bleddyn itself burrowed this great pit, intent on reaching the heart of the world to devour it and bring death to Mundus itself.

I love the your names. The Cradle, Worldscar Mountains, and Dead Mountain. I wonder at the schemes and machinations of those dark followers, their goals, dreams, and aspirations. I wonder at what the "darkest" forms of necromancy entail, and what horrific creations they might call forth. I wonder if Bleddyn didn't reach the heart of the world, what stopped it? Great article!
