Parevia

While Iradae and Lan'tha mused about what to do with their creations, Parevia divided the years of all the worlds in the system. The fourth world had been struck by an errant asteroid, disrupting its tilt. The act so enraged Parevia that she cut the rock into a million tiny pieces. The matter settled, she revised her plans for the fourth world, and she and Lan'tha gave to each region its own seasons, seeing that none were too harsh for life.
Parevia, whose name means "sundial", is represented by one of the few stars in the Mudeweian sky that can be seen to rise and set routinely, and whose position moves across the sky with the changing of the year. As such, she is commonly portrayed in Stenza myth as trailing the couple Iradae and Lan'tha, meticulously carving up the long night they leave behind after they set, not to be seen for most of the year. Her movements are dutifully tracked by Stenza astronomers so as to set and maintain time-keeping devices, which have in more recent years been used across The Nine Systems by Stenza peacekeeping forces (conquering armies have long since switched over to local-time conflicts, but recognize the strategic value in using "Parevia's time" when it falls outside of enemy expectations).   Parevia herself is commonly viewed as meticulous to the point of stern or obsessive, depending on who you ask. She is considered a model for holding one's work in high regard. While Stenza do not often create static art, when a thing must be carved, it is common practice to cap it with a depiction of Parevia, compass in one hand and axe in the other, measuring the firmament for its devision into days and hours (two of these such carvings cap The Twin Pillars and are as well maintained as the text itself).
