Iradae and Lan'tha

Iradae and Lan'tha are the two binary stars around which all the planets in their system revolve. The most notable of these planets is Mudewei, which bears life and is the seat of a star-spanning empire. However, there are seven others of varying types. Some are rocky, some are gassy, some are even icy. There is an asteroid belt, and the Stenza have built networks of satellites and space stations designed to monitor the space rocks in an effort to protect their homeworld.   The stars themselves hold very high status in the Stenza religion, personified as Iradae and Lan'tha and credited with the creation of all life on their planet.

Geography

Iradae and Lan'tha are the Stenza names of the component stars of a binary system, around which several other planets, such as Mudewei, revolve. Both stars appear blindingly bright from the Mudeweian surface, but specialized observation equipment has found that Iradae is very slightly yellow or orange, and Lan'tha is very slightly blue. Mudewei's location in the system relative to Iradae and Lan'tha, as well as its axial tilt, means that the stars set the seasons for the Stenza, but do not set the day and night cycle (for more information, see Parevia and the Demarcation of Time).

I really like the idea of a binary star solar system. :D This is so interesting!
