  • History

    Creation of bogokovc

According to old legends, the bogokovc were created from the essence of the roaming Mriyar primordial elementals, that remained on the Material Place ever since the time of Elemental Cataclysm.

    Magior Empire

Relationships between all bogokovc societies and Magior Empire were rather tense all throughout the existence of the Empire. (Work_In_Progress)

    White Crusade

In White Crusade many bogokovc stayed back from political turmoil on the continent. Only celestial bogokovc have been somewhat involved in the following "march against tyrany" in Rosidor, serving as mediators between angry crusaders and reprentatives of nobles and mages. As celestial bogokovc society is closely tied to religion of the Justicemaker, they had maintained contact with the leaders of the crusade, in some cases stopping unnececary bloodshed between sides of conflict.
After the end of Crusade and establishment of independant Dangean Kingdom, the Provan Court had gathered all sides of conflict, alongside other countries from the continents, and issued a ban on any military action between the then royal dynasty of Rosidor and the newborn Dangean Kingdom in exchange for stopping any possible military actions from not involved in the war countries against the weakened Rosidor Kingdom.
Though, when centuries later all members of the royal family were killed, bringing in their place new ruler, the ban lost its power.

    Society

    Twilight bogokovc

The first twilight bogokovc were created by Mokosh and Veles from the energy of water elementals, known as Nereids. They were widespread on the territory now known as Perlen Kingdom, as in the time of Elemental Cataclysm it was the most influenced by the Plane of Water. Because of this, the future water bogokovc society settled on the shores of Perlen Kingdom, and the most dedicated followers build a grandios complex, that to this day serves as a well of knowledge and history of Mriyar - the Volos Library.
The twilight bogokovc community is build on the principles of big and united family, which lead to establishment of tradition, where children are raised in communes, with much smaller involvement from their parents. They have a strong respect for their elderly, considering their word and wisdom unquestionable. Every single member of the society is encoraged to learn and study in different media, giving all of their time and efforts to serve the community and expand the boundaries of knowledge. The religious ceremonies dedicated to creator deities and the knowledge itself are an important part of lives in twilight bogokovc comunity. Each member of the commune is responsible for one another, making sure that others do not despise either the faith of the gods or the sacred way of twilight bogokovc to preserve and guard the knowledge.
The community of Volos Library are quite closed off to the rest of the world, even though they allow outsiders to submit their studies, give their knowledge and records, or ask for information from the archives. The members of community are encouraged to cut or not establish any contacts with outsiders, aside from business and research cases, which quite often may lead tro misunderstandings with other nations. Not that it matters to most of the twilight bogokovc - they are proud of their dedication and commitment to sacred ways.

    Lava bogokovc

The first lava bogokovc were created by Svarog and Perun from the energy of fire elementals, known as Ifrits, laying seeds for making one of the strongest warriors and masterful craftsmen in whole Mriyar. The Plane of Fire influenced the part of Material World, now known as Ridfin Peaks, transforming it into a land with high volcanic activity, rivers of magma and constant fires in mountains - and all of this became home to fire bogokov community.
Most of the lava bogokovc live in the Ridfin Peaks, where they stay vigilant for any threats that may pose a danger to Material Plane, though many travel the world, taking on the mission of getting the lands rid of demonic influences. The Redfin community is that of closely related tribes, with Plamets and Vognir being the biggest and most active settlements of fire bogokovc society. They value martial skills, blacksmithing and craft, as well as bravery and quick-thinking in people, and throughout history there were a number of times when lava bogokovc helped other races with their troubles regarding demons, monsters and abyss creatures.
Lava bogokovc may seem a bit too irritable, brash and hot-tempered, but they are one of the most open subraces among bogokovc to allow contact with other races. Ridfin delegation of craftsmen even attends annual Svarog festival of craft in Hartstein Kingdom.

    Celestial bogokovc

The first celestial bogokovc were created by Dazhbog and Karna from the energy of air elementals, known as stribogs, creating the guardians of order and law in Mriyar. The Plane of Air influenced the part of Material World, now known as Divine Peak, making parts of mountains to separate and without any help or magical assistance to float in the air, which made Divine Peak the only place in Mriyar with floating in air islands.
The largest community of celestial bogokovc is located in Svitagora, the City of Creator Gods, where many of them serve as clerics in the temple of Karna and Dazhbog or in the Provan Court as magistrates. Celestial bogokovc value order and discipline among everything else, though they are incredibly individualistic, compared to other bogokovc. Some celestial bogokovc travel the world and find place in courts of justice all across Mriyar, though they have the strongest presence, aside from Svitagora, in Dangean Kingdom.

    Nature bogokovc

The first nature bogokovc were created by Dzevana and Zorya from the energy of earth elementals, known as golems, the large behemoth of clay, earth, plants and stones. The Plane of Earth influenced the part of Material World, now known as Dzevana's Blessing, as after the events of the War of Burning Skies the Great Huntress created a great tree in one of the influenced by Abyss parts of Mriyar, not only clensing that land but also giving a home to nature bogokovc. Since that time, nature bogokovc were the guardians of balance between civilization and nature, protectors of lands against foul influence.
Many know nature bogokovc to be "gentle giants", though those who deliberately harm the nature have been met with their wraith. The communities of these bogokovc remind that of other nations - they have strong bonds in families, but there are no attemts to raise a child in communal way, as with twilight bogokovc. First and foremost, nature bogokovc are raised to understand the harmony with nature, the way thing work and why it is neccesary to give something in return to the world, if you've took something from it. Not that many nature bogokovc travel the lands, though those who do most likely took on the mission to cleanse the world of further outherwordly corruptions.

    Places

  • Volos Library - Volos Library is the place where all the knowledge from the world and beyond finds its home. It was build back at Era of Rebirth, by the newly created race of twilight bogokovc, under the guidance of Veles and Mokosh to study, research and preserve all knowledge and secrets for the years to come. The many archives, build under the main complex of the Library, store thousands of manuscripts, books and other pieces of media, as well as a sizable collection of artefacts. The surface part of the complex consists of many residential and grand buildings, libraries, temples and shops of different sorts. The island that the Library was build on, is fully covered by different buildings, port infrastructure or fishing houses. Nowadays the Library grounds are mostly populated by large number of Volos bogokovc, and occasional humans or elves that received the permission to stay in the Commune - Volos bogokovc are glad to pay for and receive any knowledge that is brought to them, but they don't usually allow strangers outside their community to stay within their circle. As such, they also cut all ties with those Volos bogokovc, that decide to find different way of life, than the one that the Library offers them.
  • Ridfin Peaks - Ridfin Peaks are considered one of the challenging places on Artan continent - yet even there some races found their home. Due to high volcanic activity in the region, Ridfin has a lot of lava rivers hidden between its ravines and rifts, as well as a constant presence of smoke and ash in the air. The ground and stone has a very recognizable and rich red colour, and a number of rare materials and metals which can only be found in this region. The standard temperatures throughout the year are noticeably higher than in any other part of Artan or Saarma continent, which drastically lowered the number of flora and fauna. A lot of vultures and predators resistant to such conditions roam the territory in search of scarce food. A few sentient races inhabit Ridfin Peaks. One of them are the largest subgroup of bogokovc - the lava bogokovc. They build their towns (such as Plamets) in the mountain areas of Ridfin, near the most active magma rivers, and in the far part of Burning Mountains. Lava bogokovc are legendary for their martial and blacksmithing skills - their weapons and armour are rivalled only by those of Hartstein Kingdom. Their whole culture is shaped around surviving in hard conditions and always being prepared for the times of war or next outer wordly invasion of Yava. Another noticeable presence here are that of the pesyholovts. Quite a number of tribes roam the lands, sometimes colliding with each other or lava bogokovc in battles, but otherwise keeping to themselves and their religious ways.
  • Dzevana's Blessing - a gigantic evergreen tree, that grown around colossus earth elemental, located near Feylyos Mountains, that, according to legends, was the last gift to the mortals before the final departure of gods in their respective realms. The tree is surrounded by a grove, that never looses its youth, even though the tree is located in one of the coldest places of Saarma continent. The grove is home to nature bogokovc and many wild elven tribes.
  • Svitagora - City of Creator Gods, or Svitagora, is a large theocratic metropolis on Divine Peak, ruled by the assembly of Grand Clerics of each of the Creators churches. It was established after the Rupture, as the main ground of communication between mortals and gods, and each of the churches have their own district in Svitagora. Throughout the years, Svitagora acted as neutral ground for peace and diplomatic negotiation between different countries, be it at times of peace or war. It is also a home of Provan Court - a court presided over by magistrates of Karna's church that holds preliminary hearings for serious offences and world crimes, especially against the safety of continent and world in general. The path that leads to Svitagora is open only for summer season, as for the rest of the year tha road is almost imposible to traverse due to constant strong elemental winds, rain or snow. Once every ten years the most devoted followers of gods or those who seek enlightenment and guidance make a pilgrimage to Svitagora for the number of events held by every church in Svitagora, that is focused on establishing a connection with their respective deities. Svitagora is the homeland of celestial bogokovc, having the largest community of them in all Mriyar. Most of the celestial bogokovc serve in the temple of Karna and Dazhbog and especially in the Provan Court as magistrates.
