Ashun is a continent in the south-eastern region of Morn. It is home to several races, including hill dwarves, humans, fire genasi, and halflings.
The majority of Ashun contains two climates. The south-western portion is largely dry and sunny scrublands and savannas. The north-eastern portion is covered year-round by volcanic ash by the three large volcanoes in the region, with the region appearing largely grey and with unique flora and fauna having evolved there. Additionally, the south-westernmost edge of the continent is home to a small area of temperate rainforest.
Regions and climates
The Brushlands: Temperate wilderness in the south-central area of Ashun.
The Outlands: Arid scrublands and deserts roamed by nomadic tribes and dangerous orcish raiders.
The Maarlands: The northern area of the continent that is permanently covered in ash by the Ashmounts.
The Ashmounts: A mountain range that hosts three huge volcanoes and uncountable smaller volcanic vents between them.
Raintree Forest: A tropical rainforest on the western edge of the continent.
Green Mountains: A temperate mountain range that runs between the Raintree Forest and the rest of the continent.
Nations
Nullador: A kingdom of hill dwarves in the Brushlands and the place where airships were first invented.
Temora: A federation of Goliath tribes in the Brushlands and Outlands.
Chatha: A nation of fire genasi in the Ashmounts and surrounding region.
Ornox: A kingdom of Sarcons in the Raintree Forest.
Thurgunn: An oppressive kingdom of ash dwarves that formed in ancient times after the exile of one of Nullador's powerful clans.
Tellus: A queendom of earth genasi at the southern end of the Green Mountains.
Unlike Nilandra, the societies that inhabit Ashun largely do not have clear borders. Aside from the dwarven kingdoms of Nullador and Thurgunn and the Goliath federation of Temora, the lands of Ashun are largely wildernesses that are sparsely populated by various groups and factions.
