Philomena to Delphine

Ansel and Philomena are Delphine's parents. Formerly, they were members of the Shadowed Heart, joined out of desperation and stayed due to the power it afforded them. That all changed when Delphine was born, and having seen the horrors the Shadowed Heart inflicted on others, they chose to escape with Delphine in tow. For the next few years they kept her safe and hidden, growing more and more concerned when her powers grew.
When Delphine's powers manifested, rather keep her powers hidden, they elected to teach her how to use her powers so that she may become self sufficient. The following years they hopped from false identity to false identity. Eventually they decided to flee Verous entirely, in hopes of escaping the Shadowed Heart's influence. Assuming the role of a Mother Sun couple, they boarded the Aunt Hare with Delphine (disguised as Cleric Sophia De Borel IV) and ventured across the Argentian Ocean to ensure her safety.
In Whispermill, it was revealed they are not her birth parents, but rather are her aunt and uncle. This caused some discord between them and her, but eventually they were able to reconcile.
After Delphine earned the title of Messiah, they decided to stay in Whispermill for the time being. They worry for her constantly, knowing she is constantly under threat of death. However, they also have faith in their daughter's ability to overcome anything, as well as her friends who have consistently aided her since Alluminos.
