The Realm Lyceum
The Realm Lyceum is the arcane college of the Crimson Realm. This grant institution has been the fore most location to learn magic for ages and ages, its location originally chosen as a test for entry. These days, it is willing to teach anyone with the time the basics of arcane spell casting. The Lyceum believes that magic can be used to better all of Moirai and is willing to teach those outside of its country without judgement. The costs of learning the more advanced magics, however, has become more of a barrier than reaching the skylands.
A lot of Skeletons:
Magic comes in a lot of different types, including necromancy. As the land that Horganus is occupying is rather limited as a floating island in the sky, what can you do with those who pass away in its country? Well, if they are natives to the country, their bodies are donated to the Lyceum for necromancy classes. Skeletons performing tasks within the city is fairly common, as they help to free up time for other activities. So long as you aren’t uncomfortable with the undead, they are quite the unusual and common sight.
Powerful Magic Items:
While Sundew would be the best place to find almost anything, there is one place you can go to if you are looking for magic items. Even the rarest of magic items can be found in the captial, with enough time and money. The world’s best enchanters can be found here, and experimental magic items are also quite common. The days that the sky island is over a major settlement, there is usually an influx of magic items from Horganus.Architecture
Buildings in the Crimson Realm are designed with Art Nouveau style architecture in mind. Buildings often features intricate details like floral patterns, curved lines, and motifs drawn from plants, animals, and the natural world. Materials like wrought iron, stained glass, and ceramic tiles are used to create both decorative and functional elements, with a strong emphasis on harmony between structure and ornamentation. There is also a strong emphasis on the colors matching the sunrise and sets within the buildings as well.
