Kordra Hillbelly
Kordra Hillbelly learned from a relatively young age that the list of people you could trust didn't run all that long. But as the years passed by, those who were lucky enough to get close to her started to piece together that that was by design rather than chance. Never one to mince words, many are constantly put off by Kordra's stubbornness and unwillingness to compromise. Then again, it's that cold demeanor that's gotten her this far.
Marked with a scar on her left cheek following a horrific accident at the age of 15, Kordra made it her goal never to let any such wrongdoing fall upon anyone else. Of course, even as Town Guard Captain in the subterranean settlement known as Mythrilgrist, that's easier said than done. Some odd years later, that scar runs as deep as ever – as does her stubbornness. Sometimes, that gets in the way of what could be potentially viewed as true progress.
While whispers of a desire for a more structured system of law can be heard every so often throughout town, Kordra doesn't focus her attention on the whispers. Instead, she goes about each day with the same attitude, not allowing herself to rest until the second she is satisfied. Never one to take a bribe, Kordra prides herself on keeping the peace and serving the town to the very best of her ability – even if it means resorting to tactics that others may find a little outdated.
Just don't think one can go changing her mind when it comes to how she conducts herself. If an idea doesn't hatch from Kordra herself, odds are she's not going to listen to it. And if someone decides to go over her head, it's best to remember one thing: Kordra never forgets a face.
