Captain Beau Kew
Beau is one of the leading characters in the Mythrite town guard. Upon his arrival to Mythrite seven months ago he began trying to raise the political and social standing of the town guard, which by extension raises his own. To the socially astute he appears to be trying to build his public standing, improve his relationships, and generally just get people to like and respect him. He enjoys the responsibility that comes with leadership and has no qualms with taking charge in any scenario. He dislikes being told what will do and often will consider rebelling simply for the sake of it. This plays into his desire for leadership roles quite well. While far from the most compassionate of people he does seem to be legitimately trying to make the town a safer and better place. Beau has little apprehension to facing challenges head on with overwhelming force.
Beau is always thinking ahead and is very direct. He always manages to stay calm, cool, and collected even in the most heated of brawls. Beau is a natural born leader and commands respect from others with the aid of his fantastic mutton chops. He is not generally very sympathetic and tends to use intimidation to get what he wants. It's clear that he has leadership experience though he has yet to define that experience. When he first arrived in Mythrite he had a positive outlook and still does though the keen observer may find it beginning to waiver. His direct manner doesn’t tend to win him many favors with the nobility and those with old money, and he tends to have his own way of doing things not often by the book. His skills were cultivated from experience as he has very little in the way of a formal education.
In his time in Mythrite Beau has not been seen openly practicing any religion. He tends to find bureaucrats obstructive to his work and revels slightly in the violence that comes his way fairly frequently as a guard captain in a lawless frontier boomtown such as Mythrite.
Beau can often be found either at his home or patrolling the streets of Mythrite. He usually wears simple practical clothes and armor. Often once white button-up shirts, brown belts, and well-used armor.
Working as a town guard Beau is a middle-class resident of Mythrite. He resides in the halberd under the back stairs of one of the local inns. He enjoys the sounds of merriment from the establishment above.

Beau is in good physical condition. He's tall 6'4" with lean dangerous-looking muscles and a squared jaw.

Given his height, Beau can usually be spotted in a crowd by looking for his black tricorn hat. It stands out and his head already pokes above most.

Personal history
Beau was born in Neverwinter. Though he avoids talking about his past those curious could pull that he grew up poor shuffling between odd jobs, and was generally displeased with the lot he drew in life. He avoids talking about the interim between then and now.

The friendship between Beau and Kordra is one built on the foundation of mutual respect for the ability of the other. Beau looks at Kordra's philosophy and ethics as a peak to build to.

Beau doesn't like Zirva because he comes off as greedy and ostensively reminds Beau of his past. Zirva trash talks everyone once having called Beau a brigand, seeing that it bothered him he repeats the insult everytime they run into each other.
