Heiryl Moor

Heiryl Moor is an isolated region located among the western hill of Anfla Island. It is a depression of open, peaty, overgrown heath and wasteland. Its drainage is very poor, and it often resembles a marsh for up to six months after the winter rainfall.

The Moor is a dangerous place with an evil reputation, the subject of many Adaenum legends, particularly those involving the nefarious Earth Witch. Strange light shows are frequent and highly hazardous in a thunderstorm.

The Moor formed in a crater created after a meteorite impact around 2,000 years ago. The artificer Cearbhall Ciernack, who has studied the Moor, has speculated that the source of the impact was the comet Sardura's Arrow.

Treasures

The Moor contains an untapped wealth of rare metals and minerals. These include.

Mythryl Ore (Gray Glitter) - Armor and weapons made out of a refined version of this ore are made at 60% weight and more easily enchanted.

Colang Metal (Gold Iron or Adamantine) - This metal is too heavy for large weapons or armor. Still, it can be used for daggers, reinforced shields, arrowheads or stone carving, mining tools. It is famous for its penetration properties through softer metal.

Blung Steel (Heavy Iron) - This metal is significantly harder than ordinary steel. Edged and pointed weapons will retain their sharpness longer than any human-made steel.

Fael Steel (Gleaming Steel) - This hard metal has a beautiful sparkling glow and can be polished to a mirror finish. It is also is virtually impervious to corrosion.

Additionally, many rocks found within and around the crater have unnatural magnetic properties.

Sardura's Arrow

A golden comet is often described as arrow-shaped.

Rowanti (Loremaster) Nessious, of the church of Save K'Nor, proposed that this infrequently comet observed over the centuries was the same astrological object with a cycle of approximately 77 years. If he is correct, the next expected occurrence is in 724TR.

This comet was named after Sardura, the Princess of Golden Wrath, one of the goddess Halea's seven handmaidens. Sardura is known to wear golden armor, and her favorite weapon is the short bow. She deals justice to thieves and those who break contracts.
