Captain Timbur Burton (a.k.a. Smokey Burton)
Smokey Burton, Captain of the Aces and Eights, is a scoundrel and true rouge. He has spent years smuggling and pirating, although he is now gainfully employed by the Wizard Remy in his dubious criminal operation. However, in fairness, he now concentrates his illegal efforts against the evil Kingdom of Rethem and the brutal Kingdom of Orbaal.
He operates out of a hidden base on Anfla Island and runs bi-monthly supply shipments between Fort Xuaka and the City of Aleath during the spring, summer and autumn months, to appear as a legitimate business.
Smokey was a former wizard's apprentice in the Kingdom of Melderyn. As a youth, he stowed away on a merchant's vessel after being caught in possession of an arcane artifact belonging to a more senior sorcerer, only avoiding being named Renegade after skillfully faking his death.
He has mastered a wide range of Illusions spells which he has put to "good," but discreet, use in his criminal activities.
His nickname "Smokey" was acquired after creating a magical spell that envelopes a huge area in smoke. The smuggling ships he has served on used this blanket of smoke to evade pursuit.
He has several enchanted items, most notable being a large petrified fin of the Ivashu Crab Titan Obsidapor. This artifact provides him the ability to Control Water in a wide area.
