Ritual Spells of the Church of Naveh

TALONS OF GEKRISH - Level 1 Enchantment (Naveh only)

Casting Time: 10 minutes (ritual)
Range: one person
Components: V, S, M
Duration: 24 hours
  The Knife is placed in a magic circle of an alchemical powder mixture which on completion of the ritual bursts into a ring of flames. The Knife is then primed for murder and the enchantment will last for 24 hours.
The Caster makes a Religion check.
DC up to 10 no improvement
DC 11 to 15 dagger acts as a +1 weapon.
DC 16 to 24 dagger acts as a +2 weapon.
DC 25 or higher the dagger acts as a +3 weapon.
  A more specialized version is used during the Dezenaka ceremony where a priest has the name of a victim engraved on the dagger. The benefits only apply to the person named on the dagger only and if the dagger strikes anyone else it will lose all bonuses.
The Caster makes a Religion check.
DC up to 10 no improvement
DC 11 to 15 dagger acts as a +1 weapon and does an additional 1d6 Necrotic damage.
DC 16 to 24 dagger acts as a +2 weapon and does an additional 1d8 Necrotic damage.
DC 25 or higher the dagger acts as a +3 weapon and does an additional 1d10 Necrotic damage.
 

EYES OF KAMIL - Level 1 Conjuration (Naveh only)

Casting Time: 10 minutes (ritual)
Range: one person
Components: V, S, M (Blood or Hair of the victim)
Duration: Varies, can only be used at night
An invisible Lesser Gytevsha is summoned which stalks the victim and report back information. Blood or hair of the victim is burnt and the caster then makes a Religion Check. The victim must match this with a Perception Check (made at disadvantage if they are asleep).
If they fail the Gytevsha will observe the victim, take notes and return to the caster and whisper brief answers to three questions within its knowledge and observations. If the victim makes the Perception check they have an uneasy feeling of being watched and if they were sleeping they will wake from a nightmare. In any case, the Gytevsha will immediately flee and will only be able to answer one question. As Gytevsha live for deceit there is a 1 on 20 chance they will deliberately lie to the caster.
If the victim determines they are being watched and uses magic they may be able to reveal and combat the Gytevsha before it escapes. The Gytevsha cannot pass onto the consecrated ground or through many protective magical barriers and this ritual can only be cast on a victim once per new moon.

ESSENCE OF GEKRISH - Level 1 Alteration (Naveh only)

Casting Time: 10 minutes (ritual)
Range: one object or poison dose in 5ft
Components: V, S, M
Duration: 24 hours
Increase the toxicity of substances especially poisons. Food becomes rancid, milk sour, and poisons more deadly. The saving throw DC of the poison increases by +2. This spell can be cast at a higher level. At 3rd level the DC increase is +3, at 5th level, the DC increase is +4 and at 7th level, the DC increase is +5.

SOUL OF GEKRISH 1st level Alteration (Naveh only)

Casting Time: 10 minutes (ritual)
Range: one poison dose in 5ft
Components: V, S, M
Duration: 24 hours
Increase the effectiveness poisons. The damage of a poison increases by +d6 Poison Damage. This spell can be cast at a higher level. At 3rd level, the Poison Damage is +2d6 , at 5th level the DC Poison Damage is +3d6 and at 7th level, the DC increased Poison Damage by +4d6.

PRINCIPLE OF GEKRISH - Level 5 Illusion (Naveh only)

Casting Time: 10 minutes (ritual)
Range: one poison dose in 5ft
Components: V, S, M (500 sp in gem dust which is used up)
Duration: 24 hours
Gives the poison completely different properties. A given poison will function normally, however, the essence of nightmares has been added to its substance. Immediately after making or failing a saving throw against the poison the victim must make another Wisdom saving and suffers a series of waking nightmares. This does Psychic damage equal to the poison damage and has the same secondary effects such as the poison condition or blindness.
   

Shadowmath

On the day and holy night of Shadowmath, the Night of Shadows a ritual user makes any religion checks at advantage. Additionally, rituals which have a duration of 24 hrs last 5 days.
