Physical Description
General Physical Condition
In relation to other humans, he's abnormally skinny.. Though he's always been like that, as it comes from his father's side. But because of this it's impossible for him to get in shape and move around often.
Facial Features
He has a smushed in nose.
Physical quirks
His eye twitches often, and taps his cups before taking a sip depending on what he drinks. 4 taps for water, 8 for wine and other alcohols, and 2 for potions.
Special abilities
Gyala's moderately talented with brewing potions, and more well versed with tea. His spell casting is slightly above average a humans as he's able to only cast two spells.
Apparel & Accessories
Wears the crown and amulet he's obligated to wear as Highking. His fashion apparel is influenced by the newest trends (European as we would see it).
Specialized Equipment
Carries a short wand in which he can preform two spells; one that will propel an object or person away from him, and the other that can manipulate the phases of matter (turning a solid into a liquid for example). He also carries a vial filled with a potion that can wake someone up when sniffed.

Personal history
As a child, his mother would always travel around with him to show him the world. She cared deeply about him, despite him being half demon. His legal father, previously Highking Œnta, never cared for him, even tried having him assassinated a few times before his death.
He didn't have many friends as a youth, usually they were the servants, and especially the Royal Advisor.
Gyala worked hard in his studies to prove himself others, and it paid off somewhat. Despite not being well liked, many give him credit for his knowledge of different cultures, and using it to better certain laws. Though it would take a dive for the worst when he tried to completely abolish slavery, causing many to outright denounce him.
After that, rumours were spread about him, like how he was gay, and slept with ivierae. All these rumours eventually lead to some attempting to assassinate him. When those started, he stopped travelling completely unless he had at least 50 men guarding him.
Soon before the serial murders of human and wood elf slave owners started, he adopted a daughter as he was infertile and getting old, with no potential Highqueen to take over for him when he passes. She's a mermaid that he named Merchlo (Meaning "Pure Blue", as she has rich blue hair and a blue tint to her skin).
Sexuality
He's possibly gay, but when asked by anyone that isn't his Royal Advisor, he would say he's bisexual.
Education
Taught by the teachers in the Highking castle for important things like language (Silmfei mostly), math, economy, history, reading and writing, and potion brewing. Gyala also attended multiple schools dedicated to language, history of local provinces, and culture.
Employment
As a young adult, he ruled over a town, then a province, and then a continent for three years each to prepare him for the Highking position.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Was able to improve upon laws that were previously set in stone on punishments. For example, polygamy would no longer get you killed in provinces that worship the God of sexuality Jusniet. Another example is that thievery now comes with different levels of punishment depending on what it was. Previously if you were caught stealing, whether it was bread, or expensive clothing, you would have your hand cut off. Now stealing bread would land you a night in jail, whilst stealing expensive clothes would get your hand cut off.
Failures & Embarrassments
A major failure of his is when he tried to abolish slavery completely. In lieu of carefully crafting a slow process, he just outright banned it. Although it's still technically in effect, human and wood elf majority provinces tended to ignore it.

He suffers from narcolepsy, anxiety, and mild depression.

Gyala believes that everyone was created equal, and that the treatment of ivierae is inexcusable.
