Priest

Stefan Tarkov (a.k.a. Priest)

Priest was created as a 13th generation Brujah and even today many believe that he has this generation. Only when one has experienced him in battle and accordingly has experienced what he can do, does one doubt this statement.

The vampire you observe has a boyish, mischievous smile on his lips. Only his steel-blue eyes with the hard look punish this lightheartedness lies - that, and that he moves like a hunter. Like a predator. For a short time, an icy shiver chills down your spine before his smile widens and you have already forgotten the reason for your fear.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Priest is a tall, broad-shouldered man with steel-blue eyes and shoulder-length black hair. He looks well-trained and has smooth, predatory movements. His skin color clearly betrays that he is no longer alive, which makes it difficult for him to move outside the gothic scene in the city.

Body Features

The body of the vampire is well proportioned, with long and well-defined muscles. His shoulders are broad, his hips extremely narrow. The hands seem almost dainty and soft compared to his intimidating appearance.

Facial Features

The most striking thing about his face is the penetrating, steel-blue eyes, which seem to look down to the bottom of the soul. However, the rest of his face is also strikingly cut, with high cheekbones, a straight nose and full, clearly defined lips.

Physical quirks

You can read Priest’s mood off his face. He usually has a mischievous smile on his lips and shows that he takes nothing seriously. Once this smile goes out, it is usually too late to avert the threat of an explosion.

When he thinks about a problem, he taps his lower lip with the index finger of his left hand and looks at his counterpart as if it were a steak. However, this behavior is not meant badly and is due to the fact that he does not seem to be really present at the moment.

Apparel & Accessories

In the gothic scene, Priest fits in seamlessly. He usually wears a tight-fitting black stretch shirt, black leather pants, and a matching pair of biker boots. When he wears jewelry, it is silver rings and a black leather collar with silver studs.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Priest does not remember his mortal life and could find out very little about it. He was born in Nuremberg in the post-war period and seems to have spent his entire life in the city. In his youth, he became a Hunter for unknown reasons, which also helps him in his existence as a Vampire. Beyond that he only knows that he has a daughter, Claire, whose mother he does not know.

He found his death in the Nuremberg Reichswald, where Werewolves surprised him and almost completely torn him apart. His sire found him before he could bleed to death and on a whim embraced him. During the transformation to a vampire, however, some things must have gone wrong, because the wounds he had received did not disappear completely.

Priest never talks about the time he spent with his Sire. The only thing he reveals is that his Sire didn’t survive Priest’s first year as a vampire. There are different versions of the story. Some claim he fell victim to the Sabbat, others say that werewolves killed him. A few are more intelligent and claim that he was the first vampire Priest killed.

Some time later he joined the Sabbat after the prince of that time had declared a Blood Hunt on him. During the time he spent with the sect, he killed his entire pack for reasons as yet unknown, which resulted in a Wild Hunt. After the young vampire killed some of his pursuers and thus probably lowered his generation, both sects decided that it was better to ignore him as long as he didn’t get into important business.

Today Priest lives as a recognized member of Clan Brujah in Varenburg. The clan itself ignores its past deeds and the Camarilla takes the position that it is better to keep an eye on the vampire instead of letting him go underground and under every radar.

Mental Trauma

The traumatic experiences Priest had during his transformation changed the vampire. A hunger for power, which is unusual even for a vampire, has developed, but is now under control.

Losing his memories and the resulting fear of loss makes him extremely protective of his friends and family. The safest way to get the Brujah to drown the city in blood would be to lay hands on those he protects.

Intellectual Characteristics

Priest is not only intelligent, but also has instincts that complete this intelligence. He learns quickly, especially new disciplines or things that could help him in combat. Peaceful skills he learns a bit more difficult.

He is quick-witted and rarely holds back when he wants to say something, but he can also lie when he has to. But he usually prefers to express things in a way that he does not lie and still hides the truth.

Morality & Philosophy

Morals in Priest’s eyes is something for those who can afford them. He himself is quite willing to make even immoral decisions or to do things that others find reprehensible. At least, as long as they serve his own goals or protecting his protégés.

Taboos

Although he is morally very flexible, Priest would not voluntarily hurt an innocent person. Even if someone has done horrible things, he would initially suspect foreign interference. He knows too well what he can do himself to rely on free will.

But just because he will consider coercion does not mean that he will not strike mercilessly if the person in question acted of his own free will and with his own decision in mind.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

The primary motivation of the Brujah is to protect his family and the women and children he cares for in his social project. He is capable of great loyalty once they have earned it. But one should not underestimate him. He punishes betrayal immediately, at least if it really is a betrayal.

Social

Contacts & Relations

It is an open secret that Priest has contacts to the criminal underworld of the city. A not so open secret are his good contacts in the upper ranks of the Camarilla and the Sabbath. In human society Priest knows mainly women who have escaped from violent relationships and stay in his privately run women’s shelter.

Additionaly, the Brujah Lucius McKenzie is one of his closest friends, which gives Priest contacts into the prostitution and erotic businesses.

Wealth & Financial state

Financially, Priest has no major worries. The capital he gained after the destruction of his Sire has increased over the last 30 years, so that today you can consider him well-situated.

His social projects do not generate any income themselves, but there is a rumor that he occasionally takes on jobs for Camarilla and Sabbath, which should be quite lucrative.

He owns a house on the outskirts of the city and various smaller shelters spread throughout the city. He also owns the land on which the Grand Central Hospital is built.
