A Course in Miracles

Fourth Wall Break   A Course in Miracles is actually a real book, popular in the esoteric Christian and general occult communities. I really, really just couldn't resist the reference. Any information contained in this article should be assumed to be in-universe, though likely inspired by or referencing the real work.
A Course in Miracles is a work presented like a textbook, and indeed CMP201 at the Androcas University of Higher Mysteries does use it as a textbook. It presents instruction, practice, and even self-directed assignments for the reader to complete. Granted, under the more structured learning environment it is used in, the assignments are not necessarily self-directed, which allows the students to draw on the wisdom and guidance of their professors and colleagues in working through the book.   The book itself remains mostly agnostic about the particular religion, although it decidedly sticks to examining the powers of the good-aligned deities. Throughout it uses the generic "God" in place of any deity name for most of its instruction, although sections on examining the gods in particular and where they may differ do go into more specifics. Due to its nature of distilling the commonalities between the magic of different divine casters, it would be of particular interest to the Order of Aleftav if they were around when the book was first written. (Current day conspiracy theorists notwithstanding, there is debate about exactly when the Order did historically survive to.) It would also be of interest to at least the inner order of the Sacred Order of the Aleftav Renaissance, again, if such an inner order actually does exist.   Nevertheless, the work itself is considered sound and practical, hence its widespread use as an actual textbook for university-level magic studies. Although some churches frown on it as possibly a mild heresy that the powers of their deity should be lumped together with others, there are other churches that recognize since the work strictly deals with the powers of good-aligned deities and that pantheons of deities do tend to work together, it can only be a good thing to examine how they are more alike than they are different.
