To Peace & War As One

Due to the Abominations throughout the world of Mara, the people’s leaders from all nine kingdoms came together and forged an agreement that neither side will attack the other for the sake of their citizens; and to gather together against the Abominations. For the ones that cannot be seen, they, being unbelievers, call on the Spiritualists for aid. These Spiritualists are the Children of the Sword or sometimes “Mediums” are called. Little do they know, these “Mediums” are actually siding with the Serpent of Old or also known as the Dragon King.

The Nine

The nine kings of Mara secretly came together by message to and from one another. They each had a double act as king in their place, looking exactly like them for the sake of gossip, and they secretly went on their way. This was planned for one year for an exact season and hour. The Abominations at this time were growing and something needed to be done, as they were all in agreement. A single document was set up and signed by all nine kings - and for another measure of reminder, a sign or symbol was also passed down for generations.

Centuries Old Document

Each year the kings personally message each other to renew the agreement for peace between their people and war against the ever increasing Abominations. Rumours had began to develop about the secret meetings of the Kings of Mara. Though the kings themselves have heard this truthful rumour, they play it off as a good story and nothing more. However the people insist due to the nature of how they act and that peace truly does exist between the nations. The only war they see is a banding together against the Abominations.
