Halodreth Emberwhite is the former and retired sheriff of Castleport. He now lives in a farm south of Llethy living the life of a recluse. He spent years after his retirement seeking the Brotherhood of the Machine and now seeks redemption for his failings.

Halodreth served as the sheriff of County Castleport for several years, until his retirement in 1414.
Failures & Embarrassments
In 1409 a series of brutal murders by The Brotherhood of the Machine ravaged Castleport and the surrounding settlements. Halodreth, in his role as the county sheriff, had been placed in charge of the investigation and of rooting out the killers. Despite the largest manhunt in the history of the county, he failed to find either the lair of the group or any its members. In late 1409 the murders just stopped. He would retire in shame and disgrace a few years later.
Intellectual Characteristics
Halodreth has begun to lose his memory in recent years. His obsessions and his age have finally caught up with him and it is beginning to show. He will sometimes drift in the middle of conversations with people, and will even forget new acquaintances while he's talking to them.
