Age of Wisdom

400 BA 80 BA

With the incorporation of Gryphons into the Katerak society and their rising independance and self-succiency, the two races cooperated and pushed down against the threat that The Ancients represented with their experiments and magic.   It was an age of war that pushed The Ancients close to the brink of extinction but in most historical tablets, it was marked as age of great inventions and triumph over evil that lead to relaxation of tensions close to the end. After all, those few remaining cities and mountains inhabited by Ancients posed no threat to the united force of Gryphons and Kateraks.

Age of Strife

80 BA 0 BA

This eighty years old, two generations long era was dubbed as Age of Strife for Dragons arrived into the world of Midrast Wain. Drunk with victories and self-confidence, Kateraks and Gryphons underestimated the threat these first dragons posed and didn't notice that Ancients were using them until it was too late.   A great host of attackers burned down, destroyed and pillaged many of the cities that Kateraks and Gryphons lived in, and the flames of war were fanned anew. Many lives were lost on both sides and in the end, a great Cataclysm shook the earth.   Ancients disappeared without a trace. Kateraks were but a fraction of their former glory, so they retreated back to the safety of their underground hives.

Age of Loneliness

1 AA 112 AA

Age-long tensions between Gryphons and Dragons did not disappear together with their masters. However, both species started quickly dividing the world and repopulating different corners of the Continent.   Wars were uncommon, even if it was not an era of peace by any means. Sun Dragons and Moon dragons, once united under the banner of The Ancients have started blaming one another for the disappearance of their masters. A short war broke out and lead to the triumph of Sun Dragons.   This era lead to the first hybrids of Dragons and Gryphons.

Age of Darkness

113 AA 219 AA

Conflicts between Dragons and Gryphons escalated but the leading species, Sun Dragons kept a firm leash on all its subordinates and slowly but surely pushed gryphon nests to outer regions, expanding its influence.   Madness spread in the ruling line of Tyrth's descendants, kings of Sun dragons and superiors to other tribes, leading to the uprising against the eventual king Krakath, also known as Defiler.   At that time, rebels amongst Sun Dragons dubbed themselves Air dragons to stand together with other draconic races. The first uprising failed, and resulting remains of the rebel forces scattered far and wide, establishing roots of today's tribes and their borders.

Age of Fame

703 AA and beyond

Inspired by Stormreign's revolution, many dragons across the Continent started aspiring to garner greater glory for themselves and for their line.   This inadvertently lead towards more conflicts, greater amount of bandits and rogues seeking to steal for themselves and several organizations springing up to help its members stand up amongst the rest.   It is an age of conflict. An age that lead many to madness, but also pushed others to achieve great things. Many advancements in fields of warfare, medicine and craftsmanship cropped up recently, the utilization of Sheetstone being one of many to note.   And this is also the current age.
