Noa Blume
Noa Blume is, on the surface, a plain and ordinary man who helps run the personal schedule of Algar Harte, who is his husband. He seems to want little, need little, and does not assert himself in social situations even though he is perfectly amicable. Most people are confused by his marriage to Algar, as the two seem to be incompatible opposites.
Those who are fortunate enough to know him, however, know that his "bland" persona is just one, very prominent layer to him. Noa is kind and caring, but he knows his worth and carefully guards his empathic nature. Of his friend group, he's definitely the Mother Hen type. He is loyal to those who have earned it and does not tolerate mistreatment or betrayal. As he is attentive, his affection is surprisingly vast and detailed; but also, as he is attentive, his acts of revenge are vast and detailed. He is not petty, but it's not a good idea to cross him either. He is an extremely competent and balanced person, able to not only keep up with Algar's chaotic nature (professionally and personally) but tame it as well.
Few know his full background. He has spent most of his life in New Boston, hailing from the Drains. He worked his way out of the Drains, spent some time as a personal Bleeder, and got a job as a personal assistant to a CEO in New Boston before getting the PA job with Algar. Both of his parents have been dead for centuries. His father was "weak and useless" according to him, and his mother was a sex worker. It is suspected that Noa has killed at least one person in order to defend his mother, but he will not confirm the accusation. Only Algar knows the full truth of the matter.
During the early years of his life in Khadan, Noa was kidnapped and held hostage by one of Algar's enemies. During this time, Algar forged Noa's information and signature in order to legally sign over his fortune to Noa in case things went wrong in the dealings: they got married on paper without Noa's knowledge. They are still married, 60 years later, though Noa still likes to poke fun at Algar's dramatic (but thoughtful) reaction to the situation.

Used to smoke as a way to keep from being kidnapped and bled after the Serum Riots. Though he doesn't smoke anymore, Dane is a terrible influence on him and he sneaks a cigarette every once in a while. Algar hates it.

A mild-mannered gentleman, wallflower, and over-all doormat upon first meeting. Enjoys staying to shadows in order to observe. If he wasn't so kind and caring, might actually be a threat with how much he sees, knows, and can plan.

History
Noa began as Algar's Personal Assistant, having moved across the country to take this job. Algar enjoyed not only Noa's competence but his company as well. While Noa did not exactly want to become a stereotype, if Algar wants something he's probably going to get it. Noa and Algar did not get married in the traditional sense. They live together and are lovers, but as far as marriage is concerned Noa didn't technically agree. Algar forged Noa's signature and legal documents to give him half of everything he owns in order to create a safety net should something go terribly wrong. On paper, they're married. Noa doesn't mind that this happened, but still points it out to Algar every once in a while to tease him.
