Origin Character in Miand'Mésvéstell | World Anvil

Origin

Chaos, Destruction and Rebirth
The One who Remembers.

Primodial Deity Origin (a.k.a. Daughter)

"I wish I did not remember. Sometimes, at least. Everyone else is more or less oblivious of the time before the Great Sorrow and wishes to recall it deeply. But as things are, they do not have the whole picture, as Father used to say. If they did, they would likely not be prone to remember it. Ironically, the one thing I do not remember is what I most of all would like to: the moment when my Father vanished.
— Origin.

General

Oorigin is one of the Urh. Born before the Dawn of Time, she is the oldest living conscious entity in all of Vael'Eteria.
The only one who eclipses her is Architect Himself. She is said to be born from the Existential Force of Amethia, a subforce of Sereoth. She is the living embodiment of Creation and Destruction: The Heiress of Existence.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

The one who remembers

Oorigin was the only one in Vael'Eteria who was spared from the effects of the Amnesia Pulse. The only thing she was refused to remember was at the moment of which Architect vanished, something that has caused her no small amount of anxiety, and which has made her greatly jealous of her brother, Guardian.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Before the Great Sorrow

While not much is known of Origin's activities before the Great Sorrow, there are a few select things whose sources have been spared and are in good enough condition.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Working at the Smithy

Before the Great Sorrow occurred, Origin enjoyed to spend time as the Silent Smithy, and forging Amethia Crystals from both her own essence and that of Sereoth and Isaris.
She would also create wonderous Artifacts of Power, as well as various Laws of Nature and more Conscious Creations. She would also merely visit the Realm to enjoy its silence and watch over the creations of her father. Sometimes she would be in the company of Guardian and even Architect Himself.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Wandering Miand

Ssomething that origin was careful about, was the act of visiting Miand. In order to be excluded from the effects of the Miand Edict she was forced to inhibit her awesome power and usually did this through the creation of Urh Avatars.
They were also not to greatly affected by the Alteration Field and only splintered into a few hundred Alteration Shadows. Their power was similar to that of the Angelis but appearance-wise they were closer to the Mountain Lords.
She would wander across Miand for relatively short periods of time, interacting with people who were none the wiser of who they spoke to. It was something she had been inspired by Architect to do, as he saw great importance in mingling with lower creatures to understand their struggles.
She rarely interacted with Miand politics, and if so only with nudges and a carefully uttered word, as Architect was incredibly strict in how much they should interfere with the world. Not that she tested her boundaries from time to time.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Descriptions

Origin Avatars

The Avatars of Origin were created to resemble either a youthful female Mountain Lord or Human. While these were her preferred appearances, she had no limits and could look however she wished. In general, her height usually stood between 168 and 175 centimeters, and faint freckles would be sprinkled across her shoulders, chest and nose. Her eyes, regardless of color would be soft and dark and always had a joyous glint in them.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Human Appearance

Origin's human appearance was preferably that of an olive-skinned young woman in her early twenties to mid-thirties. She would have flowing curly hair that reached down to her shoulders and shaded in either dark or auburn colors.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Mountain Lord

Origin's appearance as a Mountain Lord was that of a youthful woman with a height of about 178 centimeters. Her eye color was primarily amber-shaded and her flowing, platinum hair would go down to her ears. She would have dark skin and a few golden freckles sprinkled over her shoulders and chest.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Primary appearance

Origin's primary appearance does not differ all too much from that of her Avatars. At least on basic characteristics. A youthful woman with lean muscles and short-cropped, dark auburn hair that stood at about 190 centimeters tall. She had olive skin that looked either fairer or darker depending on the surrounding light.
Her eyes had a deep amber color that had faint speckles of crimson, and which would periodically emit wisps of Amethia.
Origin with Guardian.
She was embraced by a neon crimson-purple aura that could be intensified or subdued depending on her subconscious.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Special abilities

Bbeing an Urh, Origin's power is incomprehensibly wast. One could very well compare her to that of an author who has complete control over her literary work. The only things that restricts her are the boundaries set up by her Father Architect.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Creation and Destruction

As she is so deeply connected with the Theme of Creation and Destruction, that is where her strengths lie. She can create any form of matter, whether it be organic or inorganic, already existing or merely hypothesized by scholars. She brings the colorful paints to the blank canvas, so to say, and has the ability to erase it all with a snap of her fingers.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Shaping matter

She can also shape existing matter into any possible shape and form, though she is not as skilled at it as her brother. She also has slight difficulties when it comes to sapient life forces, particularly as advanced as Humans or Mountain Lord, particularly since her father vanished.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Truly Immortal

She — as far as she knows — is incapable of dying, due to her being a representation of Amethia and is an fundamental part of Existence Itself. On the other hand, she has never truly met her match before. She can be hurt, however, particularly mentally so. While physical scars might heal, the mental ones are more lasting.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Personality

Personality-wise, Origin is a caring and kind individual, who might be a little bit too curious for her own sake. She enjoys testing limits and see the results. She can also be irritatingly stubborn when she wills it and few have the ability to make her change her mind.
While technically unisex, she personally identifies as a woman. Though she has no real problem taking on a male Avatar, it does not resonates as much with her as female Avatars do. If so, the former feels more like wearing a suit than anything else, meant for specific occasions.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Ailments

Mentally broken

The events of the Great Sorrow and the aftermath caused Origin deep mental wounds that still bleed, metaphysically speaking. Some would probably call her mentally broken, only being kept on a stable and recovering path by her Vessels and by being Splintered. The same goes for her silent rage towards those who placed her in her current situation; this extends even to that of her own Father.
Sometimes she looses it and when that happens, the Fabric of Reality shivers in fear.
— Excerpt from Origin, Daughter of the Creator.

Current where-abouts

Currently, Origin is in self-imposed exile in Miand in order to recover mentally and metaphysically from her ordeal during the Great Sorrow. Taing inspiration from the Divine Carriers, she possesses the bodies of Melathi, particularly Humans.
