Eburlona

The largest country in Mercuria by both population and landmass, Eburlona boasts powerful influence over the future of the continent. After spending the Halcyon recovering from the devastation of the 200 Year War and the Imperitan Civil War, the Empire has found her stride once more. Ruled over in 1223 by the the twin heirs of the late Empress Agris and Emperor; Empress Vanessa and Emperor Tiberius work with (and occasionally against) one another in an effort to bring Eburlona into a golden age that has not been seen since the peak of the Imperitan Empire. Under their influence, prospects of both the Industrious Region of the nation and the farmlands of the Panar Region have prospered, prepared to usher in a new era.

Structure

At the top of the Eburlonian Empire sits the Emperor/Empress, each with their own personal advisers. Reporting directly to them are Governors for each of the three territories, which each governor being reported to by the leader of individual towns.

Public Agenda

Eburlona seeks to bring prosperity to her peoples and one day prosperity to the whole of Mercuria, under one leader.

Assets

Eburlona houses a wealth of industry, lumber, agricultural products, cities, and a hoard of gold within her treasury. She also boasts the worlds largest Navy.

History

The sundering of the Imperitan Empire left open a power vacuum that was quickly filled by Ebur, one of the heirs of the Imperitan Emperor. Moving quickly, he established himself as the ruler and bound together the loyalists that remained, bringing Eburlona into being.

Demography and Population

Eburlona is primarily comprised of Elves, Humans, Halflings, and Gnomes. She is also home to a smaller number of dwarves and half-elves.

Territories

Eburlona occupies all land south of the Gate to the Hill Strait. While they also claim dominion over the Hubrian Desert, there is no actual Eburlonian presence there, leaving the nomads to their own devices.

Military

The Eburlonian military is composed of both land and naval forces, boasting the strongest navy in the world.

Technological Level

Eburlona is home to Water Ring Ships, which cruise across the water powered by Mana Crystals. In addition to this, Eburlona also houses the greatest collection of Artificiers in the world, and provides a great deal for them, allowing them to work tirelessly at innovating new technologies for the world.

Religion

The Once-Forsaken Pantheon finds itself largely at home within the borders of Eburlona, though worshipers live in peaceful coexistence with those who follow the Frozen Pantheon or the Druidic Pantheon.

Foreign Relations

Currently Eburlona is at peace with both of her neighbors, albeit the peace with Exul is tenuous at best. There is a push from the Emperor to form an alliance with Ósigrandi against Exul, while the Empress wants to open more trade with both nations.

Agriculture & Industry

The Empire houses two powerhouses that work in tandem with one-another to bring prosperity to the nation. To the West, the Panar Region is home to vast fields of produce and animals, providing an excess of food for the nation, but also for her neighbors. Without having to worry about agriculture, the Cor Region of Eburlona is able to work with her more industrious Northern Region to produce refined goods and a plethora of inventions designed to propel Mercuria into the future.

Trade & Transport

Goods travel between Eburlona and her neighbors primarily via ship, but will also travel across the long road to reach Ósigrandi by land. Once upon a time, the Lightning Rail connected the two nations, but the main line has been in disrepair for centuries.

Education

Within the Cor Region and the Northern Region, school is free and provided for all who wish to attend for the first 20 years of their lives. Some choose to stay the entire time, while others will branch out into guilds or trades by the time they turn 14. While schools are still free in the Panar region, their scarcity and the focus on agriculture turns them less popular, with those that attend rarely staying beyond 10 years, choosing to return to their towns and villages in order to help with the vast farm fields that always need workers.

Infrastructure

Eburlona possesses roads, outposts, fortresses, dungeons, bridges, refineries, and forges in spades. Most towns and all cities have sewage and internal roads, as well as other important pieces of infrastructure.

Mythology & Lore

Eburlona follows the Once-Forsaken Pantheon.
