Sedul
The ever-beating heart of national trade and industry in Eburlona, Sedul boasts a rich history rooted in diversity and innovation, with an even richer treasury. While there is a well-defined class hierarchy for the city, the lines at the edge of each are rather blurred. It is not unheard of, nor particularly frowned upon, for a commoner to rise above the masses and marry into a noble family. There have also been numerous cases where a noble family has fallen from grace through misfortune or a mistimed power-grab.
Passing through any of the Major Gates will grant passage to what locals collectively refer to as "The Thrumming Heart" of Sedul. Night or day, this sector is constantly bustling with civilians and soldiers hurrying hither and yon on some task or another, as well as the ceaseless, comforting hum of machinery churning away. Here reside both the markets known as The Artificers Affluence and the official Artificer Guild branch, The Artificers Hand. Not far from these sits Sedul College, which has produced some of the greatest minds known to the realm and some of the most infamous known to Sedul. Patrolling the entirety of The Thrumming are the Leukocyte Peacekeepers, who are prepared to keep the city and her inhabitants safe at any cost.
Near the center of the city, the Lightning Rail Train Station for Sedul can be accessed, with The Mending close by. Here, worshipers and wanderers alike can seek either medical treatment or divine answers as they see fit. A short way away from these is The Fool's Errand and The Gilded Silver for those who are after unique lines of work that pay well. In the center of the city itself is The Grid, which is both the residential district for merchant-class folks and connects The Thrumming Heart to The Ruling Body via elevators to The High Grid.
Strolling through The High Grid, glimpses of The Ruling Body can be seen. This sector is significantly smaller than The Thrumming, but houses the wealthy families of Sedul, including the Empress herself in the Sedul Palace. Flanking the Palace are the Governor's Mansion, and the headquarters for The Skull Corps. These elite soldiers, artificers, and officers are primarily dedicated to protecting The Ruling Body, but take great pride in leading the Peacekeepers and keeping Sedul safe as a whole. A prime destination in The Ruling Body for any fortunate enough to have the chance is The Unnatural Hot Springs, known to have restorative properties and rumored to have once granted eternal youth.
Perhaps the true source of heat for The Unnatural Hot Springs, The Stabilization Project can be found far below The Ruling Body and The Thrumming heart. Located within the sector known as The Underbelly, the origins and original purpose of this Project have long since been forgotten by the general populace. All that's known is that after a series of incidents, the sprawling city was abandoned, with The Thrumming Heart built with the skeleton as it's foundation. Various entrances to The Underbelly can be found throughout The Thrumming Heart, most often through The Vessel Trax, an old attempt at public transportation within Sedul. Now defunct, these have been in disrepair for ages, but have been commandeered by thrill-seekers young and old for Trax-Racing.
Still in official use in The Underbelly is The Waste Disposal, with the Knave's Den nearby to slake the thirst of those laborers unfortunate enough to be assigned to the unsavory rotation...
Government
While the city proper is overseen by Governor Sedul, the Empress Venessa makes this city her home to rule from, preferring the busy streets to the political intrigue of the Capitol, Cor. Assisting Governor Sedul in setting policies are the Tribunal, made of Tribunus of War, of Trade, and of Artificiers.
