Appointment

Every four years, each town in Miltan holds a general election. Anyone who wishes to run for office may do so, provided they do not belong to the Order of the Rose. No classes or races are excluded from election.
The Houseless and criminals are prohibited from both running in the election and voting.

Duties

An elected mayor is the head of the local municipal government and is responsible for upholding existing laws, updating old ones, and overseeing the implementation of new ones.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A mayor serves a four-year term. They are eligible for re-election only once.
