The Seekers

The Seekers (Varaha'ai: Ladobotitashida Davijathitia /ladobotɪtaɕɪda daβɪʝaθɪtɪa/; roughly "the people who search") are a pseudoreligious group among the Nacoi who believe it to be their duty to find a new homeworld for the species in the wake of the Vektektek occupation, counter to the more mainstream belief in reclaiming the home planet.
Some groups among the Seekers are known to be cult-like and fanatical, in particular one group which considers the Megastructure to be the new homeworld they are seeking. This group staged a hostage incident on DSB-M1 shortly after its establishment, whose resolution mediated in part by Faro Ta O Ni Omadi resulted in the establishment of a Nacoi settlement in Gate Town. It should be noted that despite the illegality of the actions taken in these incidents, to date there are no confirmed serious injuries caused by the Seekers.
Among the general Nacoi population, Seekers are often regarded with suspicion due to the actions of their more extreme subgroups, which as led to many members not being open about their beliefs. There is some debate as to whether this should be considered religious persecution.
