Crossroads

Crossroads is the colloquial name of an ad-hoc settlement located at the intersection between the Grid Layer and the main tunnel coming from the Main Gate of the Megastructure. It is similar in construction to the unregulated areas of Gate Town, such as the Tubes. Unlike Gate Town, Crossroads consists of several disjunct sections which cannot be accessed without traversing the vacuum.
Much smaller than Gate Town or Frontier, Crossroads primarily serves as a waypoint and resupply station for ships heading into the Megastructure, but it is also used as a base of operation for a few groups exploring the Grid Layer.
