Mavyir Thornblade

Tojn Mavyir Thornblade (a.k.a. The Titanic)

"My eyes are up here. Way up here."
Mavyir Thorn-Blade is the Tojn of Bokhaufn Hold. She is notably the first person with giantism to attain the position and is also rather young for the position, at just 26 years old. Mavyir's giantism is quite extreme, standing at just under three and a half meters and weighing just under half a tonne. Despite her size, she received the best treatment possible and as such is able to move and live with relative ease.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Mavyir is a giantess in the literal sense of the word. Standing at over three meters tall she nevertheless maintains a (proportionally) lean build and is still very physically active and fit. She has flowing brown hair, pale white skin, and blue eyes.

Special abilities

Immense strength and durability.

Personal history

Childhood

Mavyir was born in the year 537 of the Liberty Era in the city of Rugle in Bokhaufn Hold as the second child of Tojn Flokr Thorn-Blade. From an early age, Mayvir was fascinated by sports and war-games, much to her father's delight as he had hoped to send his children off to Zinruna as mercenaries, as is customary for many Demian nobles. Mavyir trained hard day and night and became an adept shield-maiden at a young age. In addition to her love of fighting, Mayvir took an early interest in poetry and literature, being sure to visit The Crown Library whenever she found herself in Tharsa and acquiring a small personal collection as well.

Teenage years

When Mavyir turned 15 she was sent with her brother Torvaldr for her first, and his second, tour as a mercenary in Zinruna. They landed in Kuchanz and were soon hired to fight against the Bokoosans. Both Torvaldr and Mavyir fought with distinction and won three battles for their patron Principality. Mavyir took the opportunity to learn the Anzelki language and collect as many books on poetry she could. After fighting in Zinruna for eighteen months, the siblings returned home to a proud father.   Not long after returning home, Mavyir grew restless and asked her father for permission to return for another tour in Zinruna. Pleased by her initiative, Flokr told her that he would take her himself and give her brother the opportunity to learn statecraft hands-on. The pair left less than three months after Mavyir had returned home, this time landing in Mopzda and fighting the Ekoyans.

Contraction of Zefki

About two months after returning to Zinruna, Mayvir came down with a fever. At first she and her father thought little of it, she would rest for a few days and be back fighting within a week. But the fever not only persisted, it intensified. Unable to keep up with her company, Mavyir traveled to Kuchanz to recover. It was soon decided that Mavyir should return to Rugel for better quality treatment. Three days after setting sail, Mavyir's diagnosis was confirmed; she had contracted Zefki. The crew sailed as fast as they could but crossing the Black ocean is a weeks long journey even for the most able navigator. By the time the ship arrived in Tharsa harbor, Mavyir has nearly doubled in size and the crew had "aged two decades." Mavyir was able to get treatment soon after landing but her father had aged too much as a result of soul-sapping and would pass soon after they returned to Rugel.

Third Tour

Mavyir adjusted rather well to her giantism, even popularizing her nickname "The Titanic." She learned to fight with her condition in order to return to Zinruna and "complete" her second tour. This time she would travel alone as her father had passed and her brother had to stay behind and run the hold. Mavyir had no trouble finding men to travel to Zinruna with her and set sail to Kuchanz. Mavyir's tour was a massive success, fighting in and winning a dozen battles over the course of a few weeks, putting her titanic stature to use and frightening many opponents from the battlefield without a fight. After a year of successes, Mavyir decided that it was time she returned home for good.

Marriage

Mavyir had fallen in love with one of her comrades on her final tour of Zinruna. Aarvan was born to a Anzelki father and a Demian mother following his mother's first tour, a tour she went on with Mavyir's own father back before he was tojn. The two were married in private on the voyage back from Zinruna and they set about planning their new life together. Mavyir was never pressed for money, being a tojn's daughter, but her massive success in her third tour of Zinruna had made her wealthy in her own right as well. The couple decided that they would pursue Mavyir's passion for literature and poetry and assemble a collection of literature to rival the Crown Library.

Succession

After only two years of marriage, Mavyir received word that her Torvaldr had been injured in an accident and would likely not make it through the night. After saying their goodbyes, Mavyir was crowned as the new tojn of Bokhaufn Hold, forcing her to put her plans on hold while she acclimated herself to her new position.

Mavyir took her husband Aarvan to the Goskurton on the outskirts of Aelban in order to officially pay homage to Ekärti Emelle Brotesch. She famously opted to kneel while paying homage while remarking that she "still needed to look down to see [Emellee]." Her loyalty confirmed and her own rights guaranteed. Mavyir returned to Rugel in order to continue with the affairs of governance.
