Hartwig

Hartwig is a wererat who is seemingly employed as a guard at the Brillig city walls. Or at least acted like he belonged in one of the guard towers when Kaleb discovered him and a companion biting off heads of caged birds. Kaleb then asked Hartwig to lower the gate to let him pursue Winifred out of town. Hartwig and his friend first dangled Kaleb by his legs from the parapet, but after learning that he was Sigisar's companion, they did as he asked, though elicited a promise from Kaleb not to say that he was ever there.
