Zabanstaud

Zabanstaud is a language which originated from () as the first serpentfolks started to develop the capacity to produce specific sound through their diagram in order to complexify their ways of communication. Over some generations, many sounds and wording became common uses to express themselves to each others, with some wordings becoming common use over time. Those were used as basic emotions portrayal or warnings in the origin of it. The most prone to learning developped and tried sounds to describe objects and characteristic, such as saying something was poisonous. Those wordings and saying were later transfered to their offspring.   The language had also a written form over time. Originally, the alphabet and wording had a base lining of sometimes replicating the user's mouth or small symbols to signify throat and mouth movement to help replicate it. As the working was made by serpenfolks and the mouth structure being different, other races struggled to replicate it through mimicry. Written versions of the zabanstaud language remains as a cultural aspect of the serpentfolk's heritage through wall scriptures with paintings. However, very few scholars and linguists in this day and age remain very fluent in this ancient language, as others races went on to create their own and most of the recurrent users faced extinction in most regions. It remains the interest of some handfuls of researchers which sometimes sponsors adventuring parties for protection to try and find lost temples and forgotten ruins of this ancient civilisation.   The language changed fewly since the cataclysm as most serpentfolks versed in the field either died or now live in secrecy, unable to share possible changes to the languages to a large group of users.
