Structure
hieroschemamonk: Highest Title hold by a single individual, they are usually the order's creator or the chosen ascendant through a specific ritual.
Stavrophore:Combining experience and lethal efficiency, those monks are those usually ordered by the highest ranked commissioners, and usually silences their own brethren.
Rassaphore: While regular monastic orders usually have a novice, those members have few needs of unprepared novices, and select directly their chosen candidates through a hard regimen among the best individuals ready to serve the cause.
Culture
For them, the resolution of their investigation is paramount, and must be reached by any means necessary. The order is known to rather kidnap their target first and make them submit to a series of torturous techniques and toxin experimentation to make their victims talk about any of the person they could have whistleblowed secrets. Highly knowledgeable in poisons and medicine, some of their techniques, however lost in time, were enough to spread rumors of their cruelty, as some serpentfolk which uses necromancy to contact the dead have witnesse the soul itself of those captured were shattered and brought to madness.
Public Agenda
For them, knowledge is power, and who holds knowledge shall keep it to keep it's ground.
Their main manthra is to be sure that the most valuable information in various field (can vary from religious lore origins, secret languages, magical rituals, and others...) are not leaking to other people that should not get this knowledge, in order to keep the balance of power as stable as is. Usually, this involves most of the time assassination of those that manages to get that information. Most of the time, humanoids are those hunted for it, but some rogue serpentfolk (usually mesmers) aren't totally immune to a bounty on their head if they discover something they shouldnt.
Assets
The order hold a couple of small hiding points for which they can settle and give to each member or contractor intel related to their contracts. But usually, they are quickly cleaned thoroughly to leave no trace, as letting clues or any trails would be anathema to their work ethics. They have however one main settlement: the tower of (location), which has been abandoned by their former denizens long ago, and guarded by an unknowingly creature.
