Doom of the Gnollspur Forest

One of the major events occurring during the War Against the Darkness, this terrible cataclysm occurred when a mad mage known as Maloron attempted to ascend to lichhood at his tower in the Gnollspur Forest. Although he was thwarted by a group of heroes, a terrible withering explosion blighted the land and devastated nearly three quarters of the forest. Since that time, the Wood Elves of the Gnollspur Forest have worked tirelessly to revive and replenish their once splendid home. Some of the Wood Elves decided to leave the forest and start fresh at the newly discovered colony of Romen Dor on the continent of Grand Ymmarion.
