Wailing Widow Inn

This inn provides accommodations from the common (5sp/night) to the rich top floor penthouse (5gp/night) a night. Although located in Lower Thragaphest, the Wailing Widow's three stories and rooftop terrace give a unobstructed view "below the rock" and of the western side of Upper Thragaphest.
The innkeeper Herschel Lovitz is always on hand with his two rather unintelligent boys, Hyman, and Schloemo. Herschel is an excellent source of knowledge about Thragaphest, and his tongue is considerably loosened when gold clinks in the tip jar. Herschel is also an expert on the story of the actual Wailing Widow, the Duchess Ilya Vurenova.

Architecture

The Wailing Widow has a rooftop terrace/penthouse for more discerning customers. It gives an excellent view of Lower Thragaphest and the western side of Upper Thragaphest. The Spearlight Tower is quite visible from this room, so the shutters on the windows and the heavy curtains furnished in the room help to keep it quite dark if desired.
