Duchess (a.k.a. The Wailing Widow)

Also know as "The Wailing Widow", Ilya Vurenova was the first Duchess of Thragaphest. After the untimely death of her true love, Duke Anton Vurenova, she became one of the first women of power (along with Kira Volinskya) in Volinsk.
Although she ruled for many years after her husbands's death, it is said that heart never recovered. Despite being a very effective ruler she was prone to fits of madness, her voice shrieking through the halls of The Phestiana. After her death, her restless spirit rose again, to haunt the tomb where she and her husband were laid to rest. Rumors say that if you visit Thragaphest Memorial Park on quiet nights you can her her wailing over the body of her lost love.
