Northfarthing Derby
The Northfarthing Derby, along with the Rooktown Stakes, makes up one of the twin jewels of the Donneshire Hills greyhound racing season. As the last race of the season, and the culminating event of the Harvest Festival in the 'Shire, the Northfarthing Derby attracts a massive crowd, with halflings camping around Northfarthing Downs in anticipation of the race.
History
The winningest dog in the Derby's history is the storied "Maldeleppus", who after a legendary career was bought by Northfarthing's mayor Fatty Pudgebuck.
