Brasspot
The Brasspot is the northernmost district in the city of Damarask. Laid upon the high cliffs that overlook the northern part of Cormorant's Bay, only the Aerie district is at a higher elevation within the city. The Brasspot's architecture and flow have a very different feeling than the rest of Damarask; featuring a number of domes, basilicas, and minarets. Many of the buildings are painted in shades of red, orange, and yellow. Brass, bronze, and copper are ubiquitous in fittings, moldings, and art objects throughout the ward. Also unlike the other districts whose streets run in straight lines and angles, the Brasspot's streets connect to each other through curves and linking circular loops, making the district difficult to navigate for anyone not familiar with it.
Although there are some lifts that run the sheer cliffside up to the Brasspot from the bay below, Pike Street, through the Ember Archway at the eastern edge serves as the main gateway into the Brasspot. Once it crosses the archway, however, the street gives way to the curves and circular roads that are unique to the district.
Government
All important civi decisions within the Brassport fall under the control of Yazdan Endalus and his immediate family.
Defences
Ancient Ymmari walls, rebuilt and augmented with magic flamethrowing ballista, protect the northern edge of the city. A number of tall minarets throughout the district also give guardsmen a vantage point to defend the city.
With its historic ties to the Elemental Plane of Fire, much of the Brasspot is ready to protect itself with fire based defenses. Not coincidentally, it is also one of the cleanest as refuse and flammable materials are all dealt with regularly.
Industry & Trade
Indentured servitude is common in all districts of Damarask but the trade and sale of the individuals and the regulation of their contracts is one of the Brasspot's chief industries and municipal duties. The morally questionable attitudes and behaviors that often surround this trade are taken with utmost seriousness by all in the Brasspot and fall under the jurisdiction of the Rose & Copperthorn Trading Guild.
Guilds and Factions
The Rose & Copperthorn Trading Guild, dealing with the trade, sale, and regulation of Damaraskan Indentures, wields a significant amount of power not only in local district politics of the Brasspot but in all of Damarask.

Architecture
The Brasspot's peculiar architecture is no mistake. It is a deliberate attempt to pay homage to the City of Brass, the mythic efreeti capital on the Elemental Plane of Fire. The district is controlled by Yazdan Endalus, a fire genasi whose forefathers helped free the city during the fall of the Ymmari Empire.
