The Raven Queen

Memory Keeper, Matron of Ravens, Soul Siphon, Lady of Pain

The Raven Queen was one of the Old Gods, worshiped in the times before the formation of the Conclave. Since the Satrapies converted to Ioism followers of The Raven Queen are considered to be heretical.
The Raven Queen was most commonly worshiped in Pythia. She held domain over memory, death, fate and the passage of souls to the afterlife.
Alone among the old gods, The Raven Queen was believed to once have been a mortal, though the history of her life as a mortal and the details of how she rose to be a god are lost to history, and many of her followers believe that the Queen herself, or the other gods, removed the knowledge of her ascension from mortal memory and record.

Tenets of Faith

  • Recover Lost Memories
  • Hold no pity for those who suffer and die for death is the natural end.
  • Bring down the proud and those who try to cast off the chains of Death.
  • Destroy the undead and all those who prolong life with unnatural magic.
  • Break not the threads of Fate.

Holidays

Some texts that speak of the Raven Queen mention the Day of Ascension as a holy day, though the day itself is lost to memory and not celebrated anywhere in the Magus Conclave. Instead followers of the Raven Queen honour her at New Years, with many followers traditionally completing pilgrimage to the Pools of Memory to gift a memory. This practice has largely died out since the rise of Ioism .
